High Volume Expedition Plastic Sea Kayak

The Etain RM features a high-volume hull design perfect for expedition style paddling allowing you to pack the full length of the kayak with your multi-day equipment with enough room for days, weeks or even month long adventures. The large bow bulk head storage allows you to access the full bow length while a rear day hatch behind the seat and a second large stern bulk head allows full access to the rear of the kayak. The soft chine hull design provides a predictable and stable platform which complements the long water line hull length meaning that the kayak powers through swell and cross winds to hold its direction from point to point. If you do however find the current or wind to be to much the drop down skeg can be deployed helping you to track straight and cover distance very efficient mile after mile.

The Etain has been designed to perform at its highest when it is loaded with gear dropping the kayak down in the waterline and optimising its manoeuvrability and increasing the control the paddler has. Yet if you want to go for a simple unloaded day trip through the Solent or over to the Isle of Wight then you are still able to, so feel comfortable that even though this kayak is big you can still get out on the water between planning your next expedition.

The Triple-Layer construction with foam core provides the best of both stiffness and durability making for a very high performance and ridged RM plastic kayak with the peace of mid that a few bumps here and there when surfing in on a landing at the end of the day. Other features of the Etain RM include a locking point situated behind the cockpit and special attention given to cockpit ergonomics.
