Simple Tandem Mirage Drive Kayak

Hobie Kayaks Compass Duo is Hobie Kayaks' stable and comfortable answer to Tandem Pedalling. The Popular Hobie Compass is now available as a tandem, equipped with a Mirage GT Kick-up drive and a Mirage Drive 180 V2 with Kick-up.

The Hobie Compass Duo borrows the bow from the popular Revolution models but hull characteristics including the underside and rear from the Hobie Outback, creating a stable design with noticeable manoeuvrability.

Both of the Hobie Compass Duo drives (The GT Kick-up and the Mirage Drive 180 Kick-up) feature Glide Technology creating a smooth pedalling experience while the Kick-up ability removes the worry when pedalling – if you strike anything underwater, they fold out the way safely. The Mirage 180 allows for reverse pedalling at the pull of a toggle allowing the Compass Duo to move backwards easily. The rear seat of the Hobie Compass has access to the easily located fingertip steering control for the kickup rudder system, while both the mesh seats are optimal height for fishing and allow for easy under seat storage while being very comfortable.

The Mirage Compass Duo is packed full of fishing ready features such as four moulded-in rod holders within easy reach of the seats, and a stretch of H-track either side of each seating area giving four lengths of H-track in total. The H-track is compatible with track mounts from Railblaza, Ram Mounts, Yak Attack and Scotty, our range can be found here, allowing the fitting of fish finders, rod holders, camera mounts, rod rests, transducer mounts and more. Storage is not lacking on the Compass duo with the large rear cargo area, perfect for the Hobie H-crate, Hobie Livewell, crossed in bungee tie-downs. The bow of the Compass duo comes with a mesh cover for quick access items or stowing of items, moving back along the kayak each seat has access to an 8in Twist & Stow hatch for small essentials allowing easy access.

The Hobie Compass Duo's flat deck allows standing in calmer waters allowing users to sight fish and easy casting, the Hull comes with a Lowrance-Ready system making fish finder installation easy with a large dedicated transducer scupper under the kayak which paired with a set of cable pass throughs (sold separately to give maximum customisation) resulting in an easy set up
