Lightweight Touring Kayaks with Skeg

The lightweight Delta 15.5GT is a day touring kayak that is easy to paddle loaded and empty and that you can also use for multi-day expeditions. There is plenty of room in the bulkhead storage spaces and with a maximum loaded capacity of 163kg this is a great kayak to load up with kit and head off for a few days. The customisable cockpit outfitting includes the super comfortable multi-position Elevate Contour Seat system along with adjustable thigh braces and foot pegs for a super comfortable ride. 

Gentle rocker along the keel line of the 15.5GT gives great straight-line tracking along with excellent speed and handling. The Delta 15.5GT is super stable so is ideal for even novice paddlers wanting a kayak that will stay with them as they progress, it also has the performance the more experienced with appreciate on day excursions and longer expeditions alike. 

The easy to reach day hatch is perfectly placed to store those small essentials you might need to access while afloat. Bow and Stern bulkhead storage compartments provide plenty of space for your kit. All of the storage compartments are accessed by Press Lock hatch covers. The colour matched hard-shell covers provide a secure seal with easy on and off convenience. The hard shelled covers are slightly domed so shed water very nicely, they also help to increase the structural integrity of the deck and will not implode in the case of excess pressure on any of the hatches. 

The spring loaded skeg system is simple to deploy and features a kink-free operation. The skeg line is housed in a tube and tucked away under-deck so it reduces the chance of snagging when loading and unloading gear. The skeg can be deployed at different increments so the paddler can determine the amount of skeg to use in a wide range of conditions.

The sea kayak styling is designed for coastal exploration but would also be great for paddling canals, lakes, Scottish lochs  and long lazy rivers.
