North Shore Voyager Evolution - Diolen GRP Construction

North Shore Voyager Evolution

Composite Expedition Sea Kayaks

Built for adventure the North Shore Voyager Evolution has been refined over 40 years of product development.  The chines are soft at bow and stern gradually hardening towards the cockpit then cut away into 'wings' just below the rear of the cockpit. This has created a fast and stable hull that responds beautifully to edging whether empty or loaded. This is a great kayak for gentle touring and really comes into its own on lively seas and long expeditions.

The fairly gentle rocker makes this a predictable and efficient kayak to paddle, it cuts through the water effortlessly and will eat up the miles. Equipped with a retractable skeg  you can enhance tracking in strong currents and on windy days. The foredeck has cutouts which make high angle braces or forward paddling strokes easy and the low profile deck weather-cocking is minimal.

Large hatches make packing the three bulkhead storage compartments easy. The 'day hatch' is located in reach just behind the cockpit and is a useful place to store items you might need to access when afloat. There is also a snack hatch just in front of the cockpit. Cockpit outfitting offers all-day comfort and the adjustable footrests allow you to lock into the thigh braces for responsive and active paddling in dynamic conditions. Other features that you would expect from any top spec expedition kayak include a compass recess for the Silva 70p compass, deck lines and bungees for gear attachment, a security bar on the deck behind the cockpit and lightweight toggle handles.

Made in the UK with a Fibreglass-Diolen or Kevlar construction to the high quality standards expected from the sea kayak experts at Northshore. For those wanting a high quality performance expedition sea kayak the Voyager Evolution will be an excellent choice for covering distance whether it be a day trip or multi-day expedition.
