Gumotex Seashine Dropstitch Inflatable Kayak

This is a high performing inflatable kayak designed for touring on the sea and inland waterways. With a drop-stitch floor and shallow V hull it is ideal for paddling long distances along the coast or on lakes, estuaries and large rivers. It can carry up to three people as an open cockpit kayak and either one or two paddlers with the optional deck cover kits. Made from durable multilayer Nitrolin material the kayak dries off very quickly after use. 

 With a maximum capacity of 250kg it is a great choice for some serious paddling over multi-day trips, of course it is great for recreational day trips too! The shallow V on the dropstitch hull along with the noticeable rocker along the hull line work together to improve straight line tracking, edging control and the way it rides over swells. 

The optional deck cover sets are low profile to reduce windage while keeping the spray at bay. They can take standard neoprene spraydecks to keep the spray and rain out and make it warmer in the winter. If you purchase the optional foot operated rudder you can keep a steady and symmetrical cadence while steering through complex waters or handling gusty winds.

Gumotex have been careful to design this watercraft to ensure that two or three paddlers are sat far enough apart to be able to paddle well without clashing paddles. When set up as an open kayak, with the optional third seat, the rear seat should be located close to the stern spray cover and the front seat at its maximum forward attachment point. That should provide enough space for 3 medium-sized adult paddlers without feeling cramped together as would be the case on many 2/3 person kayaks.

Overall this is a stunning example of inflatable design and engineering and will bring your inflatable paddling experience as close as possible to that you would get in a hard shell tandem touring kayak. In its full kit build with deck cover and rudder this is a very capable multi-day expedition kayak.
