Boot Mounted Bike Rack with raised profile
The Thule OutWay Platform is a boot-mounted bike carrier designed to transport up to two bicycles. Its raised platform positions the bikes above the vehicle’s number plate and rear lights to maintain visibility.
The carrier features a user-friendly design with padded supports to help protect the vehicle and bicycles during transport. It is secured to the vehicle using protected steel cables that tighten via a torque-limiting system, helping to ensure correct installation tension. The carrier can be locked to the vehicle, and the bikes can be locked to the carrier for added security.
Bicycles are mounted using adjustable and removable arms that clamp onto the bike frame. Thule’s AcuTight torque limiter knobs click when optimal torque is reached to help prevent overtightening. The arms can be locked to the bike frame. Wheels are secured with long wheel straps that include moveable rubber protection and ratcheting buckles for tightening.
Important Notice
- If you have an electronically operated tailgate, Thule recommend using it in manual mode when the OutWay Platform is fitted.
- The Thule OutWay Platform bike rack is not a universal fit. Please get in touch if you're unsure about your vehicle's compatibility.
