Tow Bar Mounted Foldable Bike Racks
There are two models in the Thule EasyFold 3 range, both of which are tow bar mounted bike carriers that can also be used to carry cargo with the optional Santu or Onto cargo carriers. Being tow bar mounted the bikes and/or cargo carriers are positioned at an easy access height for loading and unloading. They are also in the slipstream of the car where they have minimal drag and a reduced impact on fuel or battery consumption compared to roof mounted carriers. When not in use, the Easyfold 3 carriers can be folded up for compact storage at home. They can also fit in the boot of most cars which can be useful if you need to remove the rack whilst parked.
The innovative click-in/click-out bike arm with a strap and pivoting head enables a wide range of bikes to be loaded. This includes electric bikes up to 30kg and bike frames between 20-90mm diameter which covers most bikes from small kids bikes through to MTBs. Both of the EasyFold models can take 1 additional bike with the appropriate optional additional bike carrier accessory. To ease the burden of heavy lifting you can use the optional foldable bike loading ramp which allows you to roll the bike up onto the carrier.Each bike is secured in place using a lockable frame clamp and there are wheel tray straps to ensure your bikes are safe and secure. For your security each bike is locked to the carrier and the carrier is locked to the tow bar. For additional security a heavy duty optional purpose designed ABUS cable lock is also available for maximum protection from theft. The integrated rear lighting and number plate holder make the rack very visible and compliant with the latest legal requirements.
