We coach, train and compete in sprint and marathon canoe racing and hold regular taster days and beginners courses for juniors and adults of all ages throughout the year.
The canoe club is one of the most active in the university and has a great social atmosphere. Most of us have either never been in a boat before or have only been on the water on school activity days! Winchester and District Canoe Club (WDCC) is a small, friendly and family based club. It is a multi-discipline club.
At the club we have two main seasons, Summer (Easter to September) and Winter (September to Easter). During the summer period we meet outdoors in Alton and the surrounding area every Friday evening. During the winter period we meet Friday evenings at Alton sports centre (see below for times).

The Basingstoke Canal Canoe Club is a family Club offering a broad base of disciplines within canoeing and kayaking. The club encourages paddling for all ages and abilities Members are encouraged to try all forms of the sport.
The club is principally a 'recreational' one and has grown steadily over the years and has now settled at approximately 100 members, most of whom live within a 20 mile radius of Ringwood.
