Viking Profish 400
The Viking Profish 400 is a lightweight fishing kayak that doesn't compromise stability, even for larger paddlers, or those looking to load up with plenty of gear. Creating a kayak which is easily handled and provides high performance on flat and choppy waters.
The low profile hull provides speed in windy conditions while its flatter design allows you to haul big catches onto the deck with confidence without worrying about stability, even in choppy conditions. The kayak comes rudder ready simplifying rudder installations and the optional rudder kit with ‘toe-tap’ controls provides superior control allowing the less experienced to stick in a straight line when paddling out to the next spot.
The Propelz Deluxe Fisherman Seat and adjustable footrest allows you to adapt the boat to your own custom fit meaning you can comfortably paddle and anchor for long periods of time, providing maximum contact with the boat giving you optimum control in rough condition. Portaging is made simple and hassle free with four carrying handles conveniently placed alongside two bungee paddle holders.
2 screw hatches feature to allow access to the hull for additional storage. This combined with six rod holders enable you to place your rod, knife or net down quickly and securely out of the way when paddling, hooking bait or storing fish. Bait wells provide convenient access from seated paddling position allowing you to quickly cast when the shoal is underneath you, keeping the cockpit and deck tidy.
The clean and tidy design of the Profish 400 continues with the option for mounting a fish finder. This can be mounted to the handy wooden bait chopping board to the centre at the font of the cockpit by using the brass fitting inserts enabling you to easily operate and read the screen. The transducer sits in a recess under the hull meaning that you don’t have to worry about damaging it while putting in on the beach.
The optional upgrade of a Chill Pod and chill cover provides a cooler which mounts inside the tankwell keeping your catch cool and in great eating condition while still on the water. The optional 'Profish 400 Tackle-Pod' can be fitted here to provide a removable tackle and fishfinder unit/battery storage pod providing you with extra storage which can be removed and packed into the car to save weight when lifting onto the roof.
